Read MoreWhen it comes to comparing headphones made by different brands, there are lots of things to consider. I am going to show you the comparison of Sennheiser HD 600 vs MEZE 99 Classics, first of which is open-back and the second is closed-back. Speaking of their similarities, both devices are wired and have an over-ear design.
The most significant difference is in their impedance since Sennheiser HD 600 has 300 Ohm and the device produced by MEZE has 32 Ohm. The distinction between the levels of sensitivity is less noticeable as the first appliance has 97 dB and the second one has 103 dB. Speaking of frequency response, Sennheiser HD 600 works in a range of 12 Hz - 40 kHz which is incredibly wide compared to the range of MEZE 99 Classics — 15 Hz - 25 kHz.
Sennheiser HD600 produces a good, well-balanced frequency response. Bass is a little lacking, however, they will accurately reproduce the detail in high-res audio, especially plugged into an AMP.
Let's talk about the sound of MEZE 99 Classics. The soundstage they reproduce is big, and there is no effect of sound originating from one point, as it is quite common with headphones.
Although the considered devices have pretty different construction, the headband is adjusted in both cases and none of them folds. MEZE 99 Classics vs Sennheiser HD 600 is suitable for those who plan to make cell calls because this appliance is equipped with an in-line microphone. Moreover, these headphones have in-line control which is absent in the case with Sennheiser HD 600.
Surprisingly, the headphones have the same weight — 260 g. The audio cable you get with them is quite long — 300 cm, and it can be detached. The devices come with a carrying bag.
