Read MoreDo you prefer wired or wireless headphones? I am going to show you my comparison between SteelSeries Arctis 3 vs SteelSeries Arctis 7, first of which can be used only with a wire and the second is wireless. They have a lot in common since both of these devices are closed-back and over-ear. So, let's go deeper to find the distinction between them.
The main difference is in their frequency response as the model Arctis 3 works in a range of 20 Hz - 22 kHz, meanwhile, SteelSeries Arctis 7 has a range of 20 Hz - 20 kHz. The other technical features are identical. The sensitivity of the appliances is 98 dB and their impedance is 32 Ohm.
The considered devices can be controlled with an app, but SteelSeries Arctis 7 also supports Wi-Fi. Since this appliance is wireless, its battery is rechargeable. It can work up to 24 hours and when the battery is low you will see the blinking light indicator.
SteelSeries Arctis 7 vs SteelSeries Arctis 3 is not an overly bassy headset, but it handles the mid-tones incredibly well. The cans have a beautiful sense of rhythm, with clear vocals standing strongly against the backing instruments.
The sound from the Arctis 3 is surprisingly rich. There’s ample bass without being overbearing. Moreover, there is a fairly well-balanced mid-range, and a great treble range.
Both devices are equipped with built-in buttons. The wire that you get with the mentioned headphones is replaceable but its length is different. The model Arctis 3 has 3 m long cable, while Arctis 7 comes with a 120 cm long wire. You will be able to make phone calls with these headphones because they have a detachable microphone.
Despite the fact that these appliances look pretty much the same, their weight is different. SteelSeries Arctis 3 has 425 g, whilst SteelSeries Arctis 7 weighs 355 g.
