Read MoreLet me introduce you to the wireless headphones Plantronics Backbeat Sense vs Beats Solo3. In this comparison, you will find what makes them different and which device is better. Speaking of the things they have in common, both appliances are closed-back and have an on-ear design.
The frequency response of Plantronics Backbeat Sense is 20 Hz - 20 kHz. Both devices have Bluetooth, but only Beats Solo3 supports Siri. However, it is worth mentioning that Plantronics Backbeat Sense has aptX support.
When it comes to battery life, the device made by Beats is more long-lasting as it can work about 40 hours. Comparatively, Plantronics Backbeat Sense works up to 18 hours. The appliances need 2 and 2.5 hours of charge respectively. The special thing about Beats Solo 3 is the speed charge function and the battery level indicator. The headphones of both brands have a battery-free listening mode.
BackBeat Sense sounds great and produces a punchy bass. Clarity and detail in the mid-range and high-end is also pretty good.
Beats headphones are known for their scooped-out midrange and heavy emphasis on the bass and the Solo3 model is not an exception. However, I have noticed that there’s a lack of clarity in the mids.
Since the considered devices are on-ear, they are not heavy. Plantronics Backbeat Sense weighs 140 g, while Beats Solo3 has 215 g. The second pair of headphones has a benefit as it folds.
You can easily use these headphones for making phone calls or having a Skype conference as they are equipped with a built-in microphone. Moreover, the Backbeat Sense has an in-line microphone. You get these devices with a carry case and a detachable cable which is 120 cm long in the case with Plantronics Backbeat Sense and 130 cm long in the case with Beats Solo3.
