Read MoreLet’s review the key features of Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO vs Beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO over ear closed back wired headphones and see if there is much in difference.
Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO and DT 1770 PRO are both a great choice for audio monitoring in a recording studio as well as for sophisticated and amateur listeners. Their frequency response of 5KHz-35KHz in the first and 5KHz-40KHz in the latter will satisfy even the most sensitive ears. The 770 model is represented with the impedance of 16, 32, 80, 250 Ohm while the 1770’s is 250 Ohm. The Beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO wins vs DT 770 PRO in sensitivity, 102 dB vs 98 dB.
The Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO headphones have a pure sound of high resolution. They sound quite neutral at all frequencies so the bass does not choke mids and highs.
In Beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO the mids are natural but a little withdrawn. The bass is strong and deep but doesn’t go too far. A high pitch is crystal pure that makes the sound sparkle.
Both headphones have a great sound isolation with the velour pads, but at higher volumes the sound may be leaky.
Both headphones have an adjustable frame with metal base, durable plastic elements, leather padded headband and super soft velour ear pads. The type of pads will not make your ears sweat if you wear the headphones for a long time.
The weight difference of the 700 vs 1770 model is insignificant, 360 vs 388 g. In long wearing both models feel a bit tight.
