Both the headphones have the over ear wearing style and are wired. The main difference is the enclosure: Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO has a closed back while DT 990 Pro is open.

Comfort and design

Both headphones are 360 g, both are made of premium materials.

The headphones are fixed on the leather-padded headband that is easily adjustable with 4 snap-in buttons. The headphones have an exposed wire that connects the left to right ear cup. It is paired with a non-rotating (robust) but plastic clamp that allows the headphone size to be adjusted.
