Read MoreAlthough nowadays wireless headphones are getting more and more popular, the wired ones still have a lot to offer. Here I will show you the difference between Sennheiser HD 650 vs Sennheiser HD 600. They both are open back which rules out the possibility of noise-canceling. Also, the devices have an over-ear wearing style. And now let's take a look at the distinction.
The headphones have an identical impedance which is 300 Ohm. The HD 600 model can be a bit less loud than the other one, as its sensitivity is 97 dB while HD 650 has 103 dB. There is a slight difference between their frequency response since Sennheiser HD 600 works in the range from 12 Hz to 40 kHz and HD 650 — 10 Hz - 41 kHz.
Sennheiser HD 600 vs Sennheiser HD 650 has a clear and not strident sound. Also, the treble is amazing. Bass is very good in quality and well-balanced.
The sound of HD 650 is different, as treble does not have the bleeding bite as is very fashionable nowadays. With these headphones, I could hear incredibly detailed sounds that could not otherwise be heard at all through a speaker.
Both appliances are the same heavy. Their weight is 260 g which is normal for wired headphones. An adjustable headband and a carry case that comes with Sennheisers makes them comfortable to use. Unfortunately, the headphones do not fold. None of them have a microphone, which makes the device unsuitable for talking on the phone.
When you use Sennheiser HD 600, any attempt to "stretch" the band may cause the satin plastic pad to delaminate from the headband. The cable of HD650 is long and you probably will need to buy an exchange cable to be able to walk with them on your ears.
