There is a huge difference between their battery life, as you can use Skullcandy Crusher for 40 hours after 2-hours charge. And this is almost twice longer than a battery life of Skullcandy Hesh 3 — 22 hours. Speed charge and a battery-free listening mode are available for both devices.

Sound

Skullcandy Crusher has a bass-heavy sound. It comes with a bass slider that lets you adjust the level of low-end thump and rumble.

The entire frequency range of Skullcandy Hesh 3 seems to be fairly balanced. Bass is present and clean, mids are good and highs are smooth.

Comfort and design

The use of both of them is convenient as they are foldable and have an adjustable headband. For talking there is a built-in microphone. Whatever headphones you choose, you will get a 120cm-long audio cable.

Skullcandy Crusher is heavier than Skullcandy Hesh 3, as the first headphones weigh 275 g while the second ones only 200 g. The entire outer casing of Skullcandy Crusher directly around sides of the earmuffs is plastic. The headphones have swivel hinges on the side that also are covered with plastic and seem like they could also be a weak point with continued use. Skullcandy Hesh 3 also has a disadvantage. After 6-months use the U shaped plastic piece that connects the earpiece to the headband snapped, often breaks. And it can not be replaced.
