To listen to music with them you do not need a wire, but an audio cable comes with the devices. Also, these headphones do not have a noise-canceling function.
Skullcandy Hesh 2 has impedance 33 Ohm, while Skullcandy Hesh 3 has 32 Ohm. Their frequency response is identical — 20 Hz - 20 kHz. The first one has a higher sensitivity, which is 105 dB, and the second one has 97 dB.
Skullcandy Hesh 2 has a relatively short 15-hours battery life and Skullcandy Hesh 3 works 22 hours. It is worth mentioning that only Skullcandy Hesh 3 has the speed charge function. A battery-free listening mode is available for both appliances.
The headphones Skullcandy Hesh 2 provide a well-balanced sound across the spectrum. The basses here are quite deep, while the trebles are incredibly crisp and clean. This appliance allows you to hear very warm vocals that sound natural, and precision highs.
The soundstage of Skullcandy Hesh 3 has decent width, depth, and headroom, which turn into a slightly above-average separation between vocals and instruments. Treble performance is really impressive.
Skullcandy Hesh 2 weighs 180 g which makes it lighter than the other model which weight is 200 g. A headband is adjustable in both cases but the third model of Skullcandy Hesh is more convenient to carry as it is foldable.
These headphones have a built-in microphone and an audio cable which is 120cm long.
Skullcandy Hesh 2 doesn’t have any issue withholding meanwhile ears do not ache after hours of listening to music at all.
