Read MoreThis time I am going to introduce you to my review about AKG K240 MKII vs AKG K240 Studio. This is a comparison of two pairs of semi-open headphones that have an over-ear wearing style.
It is unusual to compare such similar devices as almost all their technical characteristics are absolutely identical. Let's start with impedance. This feature is 55 Ohm in both cases. When it comes to frequency response, the headphones work in a range of 15 Hz and 25 kHz. Their sensitivity is also the same since AKG K240 MKII and AKG K240 Studio have 104 dB.
Due to the semi-open design, these devices do not have a noise-canceling function. AKG K240 MKII has a pretty well-balanced, rounded sound with some extra measure of crisp bass. Mids are clearly defined and reveal lots of detail, however, this is also due to a superior spatial resolution.
The sound of AKG K240 Studio is outstanding and defined. You will get just the pure frequency spectrum. Nice on highs, incredibly detailed mids and lows are well-balanced.
The considered devices have an adjustable headband but they are not equipped with a microphone. Also, these headphones do not have any buttons for control.
Speaking of their benefits, the devices come with a detachable cable which is 3 m long. The weight of the headphones is identical like all other features — 240 g.
