There is a pretty big distinction in their impedance, as AKG K701 has only 62 Ohm, whilst Sennheiser HD600 has 300 Ohm. Their frequency response is not that different since the product of AKG works in a range between 10 Hz and 40 kHz and the device made by Sennheiser produces the sound in a range of 12 Hz - 40 kHz. Speaking of sensitivity, the first appliance has 105 dB, while the second one has 97 dB.
AKG K701 has a consistent and decent bass, the mid-range is excellent and treble is above average. The device has an incredibly big soundstage and really flat frequency response.
With regard to Sennheiser HD600, the appliance produces a neutral sound without any kind of coloration. It has a strong bass which is not a boosted one because the idea behind making 600 was to give a neutral feel to music without having any add-ons.
Looking for a lightweight pair of headphones? Then AKG K701 might be a better choice as it weighs 235 g, while the other one has 260 g. Well, both of them are quite comfortable to wear for the reason that they have a self-adjusting headband that does not put too much pressure on your head. For those who want to get a portable device, I would like to mention that AKG K701 and Sennheiser HD600 do not fold, but the second one comes with a carry case.
Also, these appliances are not suitable for making phone calls as they do not have a microphone. Driving them might be inconvenient as there are no control buttons.
