In this comparison AKG K702 vs Sennheiser HD650 you can take a closer look at these devices and choose the best one. The considered headphones are wired and open back. It is worth mentioning that they have an over-ear wearing style.
First, I have realized a huge difference in their impedance. Sennheiser HD650 has 300 Ohm whilst AKG K702 has only 62 Ohm. They have a pretty similar rate of frequency response, as in the case with AKG K702 it is 10 Hz - 40 kHz and the headphones made by Sennheiser work in a range between 10 Hz and 41 kHz. Speaking of sensitivity, the first device has 105 dB, while the second one has 103 dB.
Bass mids and treble which are delivered by AKG K702 are well-balanced. The device produces a completely neutral bass. The open ear cups design gives these headphones a spacious soundstage.
Sennheiser HD650 let you hear a nice flat bass response. The mids and treble are very natural and provide ample detail without being fatiguing, too lush, or too bright.
An adjustable headband makes both pairs of the headphones easy and comfortable to use. Another feature which has to be mentioned is the weight. The model Sennheiser HD650 has 260 g, while the other appliance weighs 235 g.
It is a pity but none of the devices can be folded. Another sad news is that they do not have a microphone and in-line buttons. Only AKG K702 is equipped with a detachable audio cable. Sennheiser HD650 has a wire which is 300 cm long and the headphones come with a carry case.
