I will start my review of AKG K712 PRO headphones with the fact that they are the product of Austria...
Read MoreLet's find out what is the difference between AKG K701 vs K712. These are open-back devices with an over-ear wearing style. The headphones are pretty modern, however, they can be used only as wired.
All the technical characteristics of these appliances are identical. The mentioned headphones have 105 dB of sensitivity and 62 Ohm of impedance. Speaking of their frequency response, the devices work in a range between 10 Hz and 40 kHz.
Bass mids and treble provided by AKG K701 are well-balanced. These headphones boast a full frequency range with decent bass, a great mid, and an out-of-this-world treble.
The bass of K712 vs K701 is rich and enveloping and clear enough to hear the details of and still distinguish the individual bass notes. The stereo presentation is wide and dimensional.
By looking at the devices you will not see much difference in their construction, as there is only a slight distinction in their design. The weight of both appliances is 235 g, which is not much for such headphones. The headphones have a quite convenient adjustable headband but unfortunately, the device does not fold. A carry case comes only with the model AKG K712. Also, this device has a 300 cm long detachable audio cable. Its length is the same in both cases.
Making phone calls is impossible with any of the considered appliances as they are not equipped with a microphone. Another sad thing is that there are no buttons for control which means that you can drive such headphones only with your phone buttons.
