Read MoreThis is a comparison Sennheiser Momentum 3 vs Momentum 2, both of which are closed back and wireless. These headphones have an over-ear wearing style and can be used with a wire.
I will start with the impedance which is 100 Ohm in the case with Sennheiser Momentum 3 and Momentum 2 has only 28 Ohm. There is also a huge difference between their ranges of frequency response.
Momentum 3 works with frequency response 6 Hz - 22 kHz, while Momentum 2 has a range from 16 Hz to 22 kHz. Sennheiser Momentum 2 vs Momentum 3 has a higher sensitivity. The first device has 120 dB and the second one — 99 dB. In addition, they both have Google Assistant and Siri support.
If your priority is long battery life, then Sennheiser Momentum 2 is a better choice as it can work up to 25 hours after you charge it for 2 hours. In contrast, Momentum 3 allows listening to music for about 17 hours after 3 hours of charging. Both appliances have a battery level indicator. However, there is no speed charge function available.
The bass that you get with Momentum 3 sounds organic. Listening to a drum pedal kick sounds here like a live drum kit.
Momentum 2 makes clarity and cohesiveness of the music. However, with this appliance you will hear congested soundstage and separation. These two pairs of headphones by Sennheiser have active noise canceling.
A built-in microphone lets you speak on the phone with any of these headphones. For those who are looking for a lightweight device, Sennheiser Momentum 2 vs Momentum 3 is perfect as its weight is only 140 g. You can take the headphones with you everywhere, as they are foldable and come with a carry case.
