First of all, it is worth mentioning that there is quite a big difference between their impedance rates. Sennheiser HD 650 has 300 Ohm, while Fostex T50RP MK3 has only 50 Ohm. With respect to frequency response, the device HD 650 works in a range of 10 Hz - 41 kHz. Meanwhile, the model T50RP MK3 has a frequency response of 15 Hz - 35 kHz. In addition, the sensitivity of Sennheiser HD 650 is 103 dB and Fostex T50RP MK3 has 92 dB.
The bass delivered by Sennheiser HD 650 is nicely extended and moderately punchy. The headphones provide a fairly open soundstage, however, it lacks the huge acoustic space of the best performers, and the pinpoint 3D imaging of others.
The highs of Fostex T50RP MK3 are super accurate, and clear. Instruments are clearly defined in their own space relative to one another and the vocalists.
When it comes to comfort, weight is important, so let's start with this feature. The headphones made by Sennheiser weigh 260 g which makes them lighter than Fostex T50RP MK3 that has 315 g. The headband of these devices can be easily adjusted. Buying any of them consider that they do not fold. Moreover, they are not equipped with a microphone.
Fostex T50RP MK3 has a benefit of providing a detachable cable which is 120 cm long. Comparatively, Sennheiser HD 650 comes with a 300 cm long non-detachable wire. You get these headphones with a carry case.
