I will start my review of AKG K712 PRO headphones with the fact that they are the product of Austrian company that produces acoustic and cinema equipment. The device has an over ear wearing style, open back cups, and wired connection.

The AKG K712 PRO specs make them high-end class headphones with the frequency response 10Hz-40KHz. They reproduce sound with a high fidelity at loud volumes having sensitivity of 105 dB. The impedance shows 62 Ohm.
Sound
AKG K712 PRO delivers a very spacious sound for its open cups. The music feels really alive and very engaging for the airy soundstage and bright imaging with clear sound of each vocal and instrument placed accurately and harmoniously. The music is clear at all ranges and neither one does not overshadow another. These headphones are great for neutral listening, critical or casual, it will suit both.
Connectivity
The headphones have wired connection type only. The audio cable is detachable and is 3 m/9.8 ft long, which is quite enough for comfort in use in your studio or at home.
Comfort and design
AKG K712 PRO has a unique look with its wired headband. It does not put much pressure on the head. It is adjustable and padded with a leather lining that embraces the head gently. The cups are very large and I find it comfortable. However, for some they may seem even too large and bulky. Also they do not fold or lay flat. Still for use at home or studio that is Ok. I like that the open cups make the ears not so hot and sweaty for long wearing. Their cushions are very soft and pleasant to touch. They are incredibly lightweight in spite of their bulky look with just 235 g/8.3 oz.
