Skullcandy Venue is a great pair of headphones for mixing and engaging listening for its excellent sound quality and V-shaped sound signature when bass and highs are overwhelming mids. Their wireless and wired connection make it a versatile appliance for multipurpose use. Closed back over ear design is comfortable and usable in many surroundings.
The Skullcandy Venue specs represent a wide range of frequency response and state 20Hz-20KHz. The impedance of 32 Ohm is pretty enough for most devices. The decent sensitivity rate of 97 dB should deliver a clear sound at loud volumes.
Battery life of 24 hours is a great feature plus an option of speed charge. I like that they may be also used in a battery free listening mode. The light indication helps to control the charge level.
They deliver a really punchy bass that is exciting. The mids are recessed. I would add more clarity to trebles but still the highs are decently bright. The soundstage is not wide for the closed cups that restrict it.
The ANC is not adjustable but I find it quite enough to kill the constant noise of engines, fryers, TV etc.
It is impressive that this device is able to connect to more than one receiver simultaneously. They may be connected by a cable that is 120 cm/3.9 ft or wireless with Bluetooth.
The headphones Skullcandy Venue are very light and weigh just 275 g/9.7 oz. Adjustable headband will not put pressure on your head if it is not too large. The large cups are amply padded and feel comfy for ears. I like its sleek design. The cups do not fold to take less space but swivel to lay flat and be placed in a carry case for safety and comfort. The built-in microphone allows making calls but the voice quality is moderate. The buttons and voice control are quite enough for comfortable use.
