Read MoreLet’s review the wired, closed back headphones Sennheiser HD 280 PRO vs Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO for over ear wearing style.
Sennheiser HD 280 PRO with impedance of 64 Ohm is inferior to Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO with impedance of 16, 32, 80, and 250 Ohm, that, as a result, the latter are protected from damage caused by overloading. They can also be used with a wider range of audio equipment.
The frequency response of Sennheiser HD 280 PRO 8 Hz-25KHz is again more narrow than Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO with its 5Hz-35KHz. But in sensitivity Sennheiser HD 280 PRO beats Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO - 113 vs 96 dB.
Sennheiser HD 280 PRO reproduces the music clean, naturally, without distortion. It does not sound boxy. As for the lows (bass) there one may feel a small rise in that area.
Headphones Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO are also great at blocking outside noise. The sound is transparent and harmonious on all levels of lows, mids, and highs. A great choice for studio recording to feel all the sound shades.
When comparing Sennheiser HD 280 PRO vs Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO they both are bulky, not really portable for their size and design. Wearing the headphones you may feel it too tight on the head. Sennheiser headphones are a little lighter than Beyerdynamic - 285 g vs 360 g. But I felt it was not so good for long listening, as it made my ears warm after even short usage. Or you will have to make breaks.
By the materials Beyerdynamic looks more durable, as it has a solid metal frame and not so weak joints of the cups, while Sennheiser is made mostly of plastic.
Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO vs Sennheiser HD 280 PRO feels also more comfortable having a detachable headband pad that may reduce pressure and soft padded ear cushions.
