Read MoreI am going to show you the comparison AKG K712 PRO vs HD650. Both of these devices can be used solely with an audio cable. The headphones are open-back and have an over-ear wearing style.
The biggest distinction between these appliances is their impedance. The professional model AKG K712 has 62 Ohm, meanwhile, HD650 has 300 Ohm. Another important feature that must be considered by every audiophile is sensitivity. In the case with AKG K712 PRO, it is 105 dB and the other device has a bit less — 103 dB. Speaking of frequency response, the first one has a range of 10 Hz - 40 kHz and the second one — 10 Hz - 41 kHz.
The K712 manages to retain amazing clarity and spacious sound in the highs and mids. In addition, it provides a full and detailed low end that is not dominating and does not cause the lower mid frequencies to become indistinct.
With HD650, even the subtlest audio will be discernible. The headphones have been tuned to offer natural sound. They are lovely for drums mixing, and quite flat in the mid-upper to top frequencies.
Whether the headphones are for kids or adults, the fact that the headbands can be adjusted makes it more versatile. Unfortunately, the devices cannot be folded which decreases their portability. One more thing which makes them not very comfortable to use is the absence of in-line control and built-in microphone.
Both of the appliances come with a carry case. The audio cable which you get with the headphones is 300 cm long in both cases. When it comes to weight, there is no remarkable difference between AKG HD650 vs K712 PRO. The first device weighs 260 g, while the second one has 235 g.
