I am going to share with you my review having tested a very comfortable pair of headphones for critical listening Philips Fidelio X2HR. They are intended mostly for professional use for their open back cups design and wired connection only. It does not make them very versatile, but let’s view the Philips Fidelio X2HR specs more detailed.
Philips Fidelio X2HR with a low impedance of 30 Ohm works great with mobile devices. A huge frequency response of 5Hz-40KHz makes them high-res headphones for critical listening with incredibly bright and detailed sound. The sensitivity of 100 dB makes the sound crisp at high volumes.
The headphones Philips Fidelio X2HR immerse me into all the rich variety of shades and spectres of sound at all the ranges. The sound of Philips Fidelio X2HR has brilliant clarity. Its strong bass does not make mids and highs stay in its shadow but leaves space for all the instruments and vocals to play its role in the mix. The music is wide open and powerful.
Philips Fidelio X2HR has wired connection only. The cable is detachable that makes it interchangeable and safe in the case it hooks over something. Its length of 3 m/9.8 ft is good to walk around the room or studio.
380 g/13.4 oz of weight is moderate for comfortable wearing. First, they allow you to fit the headband to your head size. Large cups with soft cushions sit comfortably and their open backs do not make ears sweat even for hours of listening. They do not fold, however the type of headphones are not intended to carry with. I do not admit any discomfort wearing this item. I like its simple classic design.
